The Worksite Partners doctors and team can provide preventative medicine, clinical tests, vaccinations and exams as well as care for your injured or ill employee.

 

Work Related Injury & Illness

Worksite Partners doctors serve as the primary care doctor for your injured or ill employees regarding their work related health matters.  Even when a worker is referred to a specialist, the Worksite Partners Care Coordinator stays involved to ensure that the best possible care is provided following the principles of occupational medicine.

Our services include:

  • Work Compensation Injury and Illness Care
  • Monthly active patient reports
  • Referral Network of Roper St. Francis Healthcare Specialists
  • Development of Early Return to Work Programs
  • Medical Cost Containment - Worksite Partners can reduce Workers' Compensation premiums by actively managing clinical cases, minimizing lost workdays, eliminating unwarranted diagnostic testing, addressing problem areas at the workplace and reducing the amount of claims filed.

 



Preventive Health

Worksite Partners offers a variety of health and physical evaluations including: 

Post-Offer/Pre-placement and Fitness for Duty Exams
These exams are performed to determine if a prospective employee can safely perform essential job functions. They are also performed to establish a baseline health status. The baseline health status can be asset in the event of a serious work related injury if the employer wishes to file a Subsequent Injury Fund claim.

Department of Transportation Exams
Federal law requires these exams. They have multiple mandated components, which are set forth in specific regulations or nationally accepted guidelines. An employer may pay for the service, but it is performed on behalf of the general public. The purpose is to determine whether the examinee can safely operate a motor vehicle and perform essential safety related job functions.

Respiratory Protection Programs
Respirator protection standards continue to change. Worksite Partners can help develop a respiratory protection program that will protect the employee and keep the employer in compliance with OSHA regulations. A medical evaluation is required, which may require require pulmonary function testing. Other requirements include fit testing, respirator selection, employee training and the designation of a responsible program coordinator.

Independent Medical Examinations (IME) and Second Opinion
The purpose of Independent Medical Examinations (IME) is to assess injured and ill patients in an objective and holistic manner. It is also to compare, evaluate and adjudicate claims of disability and impairment. The examination addresses history, diagnosis, causation, prognosis and the issue of Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI). MMI is the date after which further recovery can no longer be anticipated.

 



Clinical Testing & Vaccination

Worksite Partners provides a wide range of clinical testing and vaccination services designed to maximize the health and safety of employees while remaining in compliance with federal and state work place health and safety regulations.

  • Hepatitis B vaccinations
  • Tetanus boosters
  • PPDs (skin test for tuberculosis)
  • International travel evaluations and vaccinations
  • Drug and alcohol screening services


Drug and Alcohol Screenings
Abuse of alcohol and drugs, at work or otherwise, is a safety issue.. Substance abuse creates a variety of workplace problems including increased injuries, increased absenteeism, increased health care and benefit costs, decreased morale, decreased productivity and a decline in productivity.

Worksite Partners can help integrate a drug testing program into your workplace, making it one piece of a comprehensive program designed to maximize your investment in personnel, while protecting your employees and business.

Medical Review Officer (MRO) Services
The Medical Review Officer (MRO) is part of a drug-testing program that provides an expert on the drug testing industry. A certified MRO is a licensed physician who has specialized knowledge in a variety of areas including toxicology, drug testing rules and regulations and chemical dependency. The MRO's basic functions include reviewing, interpreting and reporting drug-testing results. On positive laboratory results, the MRO conducts an interview with the donor. The main goal of the interview is to determine if there is a legitimate alternative medical explanation for positive results.

Audiograms and Hearing Conservation Programs
Employers are required to protect their employees against the effects of excess noise exposure. This can be accomplished through a hearing conservation program. Programs must include baseline audiometric testing, annual testing and follow-up testing for a questionable threshold shift. Education regarding the effects of noise and hearing loss, along with training in the use of hearing protection devices is required annually. Worksite Partners can help you comply with ese OSHA requirements.
